The Intel Xeon 6349P is a server/workstation-class CPU introduced in 2025 as part of Intel’s “Xeon 6” (Raptor Lake–R) lineup. It is built on Intel’s “Intel 7” process (≈ 10 nm) and uses the standard Socket 1700 (FCLGA1700), which allows it to fit into modern server/workstation motherboards that support the Xeon 6 series.

At its core, the Xeon 6349P offers 6 physical cores, and — thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading — can handle 12 threads simultaneously. Its stock (base) clock speed is 3.6 GHz, giving solid baseline performance, and under load it can boost up to 5.7 GHz (via Intel Turbo Boost), which helps handle demanding, bursty tasks with good speed.

For caching, the processor includes 18 MB of shared L3 cache, along with per-core L2 and L1 caches. This cache hierarchy improves performance by reducing latency and speeding up access to frequently used data — important for server workloads and computation-heavy applications.

In terms of memory and expandability: the Xeon 6349P supports DDR4-3200 and DDR5-4800 memory, through a dual-channel memory interface, and also supports ECC (error-correcting) memory, which is crucial for data integrity and reliability in server or enterprise-class machine, For connecting to peripherals and storage, this CPU supports PCIe Gen 5 with multiple lanes — enabling high-speed NVMe SSDs, networking cards, or GPUs (if desired).

On the power side, it has a TDP (Thermal Design Power) of 95 W, meaning it draws a moderate amount of power and will need decent cooling under heavier workloads to maintain stability.

Finally, the Xeon 6349P includes many modern CPU features: support for 64-bit computing, instruction-set extensions like AVX and AVX2 for vector and math-heavy workloads, hardware-virtualization technologies (VT-x, VT-d), AES-NI for encryption acceleration, security and reliability features — making it a good fit for virtualization hosts, servers, workstations doing heavy compute (like data processing, compilation, rendering, etc.), or enterprise workloads that require stability and performance.

In short: the Xeon 6349P is a capable, modern 6-core / 12-thread server/workstation CPU, offering a high base clock and strong turbo speeds, decent cache, memory flexibility (DDR4/DDR5 + ECC), modern connectivity (PCIe Gen 5), and support for virtualization and enterprise-class features — making it suitable for servers, data-centres, virtualization servers, or compute-heavy workstation tasks.
